Great Pictures

Great pictures of the old neighborhood from the personal collection of Janice Huska Gold Krol. Jan Huska lived down the street from me. Her family lived above Millers’, the corner grocery store, at Springfield Avenue and Ohio Street. Jan and I attended Ryerson Elementary School together for 8 years and Austin High School for 4 but we never met.

Jan is the tall girl in the plaid coat. I used to watch her and her sisters and friends double Dutch jump rope.
